Low Tide

A native of Lynn, Massachusetts, Charles Green became an artist committed to painting the marine and landscape scenes of his native area en plein air. From the 1880s through 1910, he was a regular exhibitor at the Boston Art Club, and also had his first one-man show in 1886 at the J Eastman Chase Gallery. He lived in Boston from 1885 until his return to Lynn in 1906 and in 1909, he became one of the founders of the Lynn Art Club.
