John Yerger is native to Buffalo, New York. He is a classically trained painter having
studied at Art Institute of Buffalo and Boston's Vesper George School of Art. Early on
John focused on landscape painting but by the latter part of the 1990s he began to
challenge himself further by incorporating trompe l'oeil imagery of landscapes painted by
some of histories most famous artists into his own compositions.  If the paintings John
depicts and layers into his own neo-narratives, were out of the institutions and onto the
auction blocks would bring the conversation right back from art to money.
